Explanation of Commitments
Tithe Malachi 3:10 says, Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse. Biblical tithing means to give 10% of one’s income to his or her church to support the ministry of the church. This is a matter of obedience and is the basis for our giving.
3-Year Pledge This is giving to the Going with God building fund that is in addition to tithes and offerings. This pledge is designed to be ongoing gifts given weekly, monthly, bi-weekly, or the like for a three year period.
Special Gift This is a one time, lump sum gift to help us "open the doors"of our new building. This gift would be in addition to the 3-year pledge.
Faith Promise This is a covenant with God that says, "God, whatever financial resources you bring into my life over the next three years that I did not expect or anticipate, I will give a percentage of that to Going with God." The percentage would be decided ahead of time as God leads. A faith promise is basically asking God to use you as a "pipeline" through which He can pour His resources into Going with God.
