Worship:
Two worship services (duplicate services - same music and message) :
9:00 AM - During this service, there are no programs for Children and Preschool other than childcare for birth through 4 years. Ages 5 and up will go to worship with their parents. 10:30 AM - Children's, Pre-school and 6th-8th grade Small Groups happen during this service. See detailed description below. Pre-school Small Groups:
WaumbaLand (birth – Kindergarten) - Small Group for preschoolers. (Waumba is a Swahili word for Creator.) We want preschoolers to know that God made them, God loves them, and Jesus wants to be their friend forever. Meets at 10:30 AM. Children's Small Groups: UpStreet (1st - 5th grades) - A neighborhood where kids meet friends, talk about God, and participate in a time of meaningful worship. Meets at 10:30 AM.
Youth (6th-8th graders) Small Groups: This age group meets on Sunday mornings at 10:30 for Bible study. Sunday Nights
Sunday Prayer Service – 6:00 PM. This service focuses on prayer and Scripture reading. If you need prayer, this is a time when you can gather with people who will pray for you. (Don't be surprised at the small crowd. Most of our small groups meet off site during this time.)
Sr. High Bible Study - 6:00 PM. This group is for High School Freshmen through college students. Contact Charley Morgan (c.morgan@megagate.com) for details.
Wednesday Nights (6:00-7:00 PM)
Preschool (ages 3-5) Various activities. Begins Wednesday, September 8, 2010. Contact Jodie Lee (601-520-5703).
Children (1st - 5th grades) – WOW! Worship on Wednesdays! Contact Anna Bess Simmons for more informtion (601-530-5555). Session 1—August 11-October 6: Leaders will be Lisa Amacker, Denise Inmon and Anna Bess Simmons. We’ll be focusing on Bible Drill and Prayer during this 9-week period.
Session 2—October 13-December 22: Leaders will be Amy Jones and Melanie Blanton. The focus will be Service. Here are some service projects we’ll be engaging in: Boxes for Soldiers, Children’s Task Force Thanksgiving Baskets, and Children’s Task Force Coats for Children at Christmas. We have also planned a Fall Festival for Wednesday, October 27.
Session 3—January 5-March 9: Leaders are Melanie Blanton and Anna Bess Simmons. We will focus on Prayer and Music.
Session 4—March 23-May 18: The focus will be Missions. More details will be published about this session at a later date.
Youth (6th-12th grades) – students meet together for Bible study and then break up into small groups according to age and gender; the small group time will center around discussion of the Bible passage for that week.
